The first international online seminar held between BEU and Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology

According to the memorandum of understanding signed between Baku Engineering University (BEU) and Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology of Pakistan, the Mathematics Departments of the Universities has held a joint international online scientific seminar entitled "Boundaries in Mathematics".

The seminar was moderated by Suheyla Bahlulzadeh, a lecturer at the Mathematics Department of BEU, and Ingila Rahim from Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology.

BEU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Hamzaga Orujov greeted the seminar participants on behalf of the University administration. He highly appreciated the organization of such a seminar and thanked the organizers of the seminar.

Noting that Pakistan was one of the first three countries to recognize the independence of Azerbaijan, the vice-rector said that there are extensive cultural, economic and scientific ties between the two countries at the international level. He has emphasized that the resolute and principled position of Pakistan in resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has always been accepted with great sympathy by our people. 

He described the seminar as the beginning of possible cooperation between our universities in the field of science and education. The Vice-Rector expressed hope that the establishment of these relations will open wide opportunities for the implementation of joint research and projects in the future, as well as the exchange of experience in the field of education. At the end of his speech, he wished success to the seminar. 

Professor Vali Uddin, Vice-Rector of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, said that the scientific seminar was held between the mathematics departments of the two universities and would have useful results. He said the University played a key role in engineering technology in Pakistan. Noting that the University researchers often participate in scientific seminars, the vice-rector has expressed hope that the seminar will explore new frontiers in mathematics. Vali Uddin stressed the importance of continuing this cooperation with other departments of BEU and emphasized that the seminar will have a positive impact on future cooperation. 

Assoc.prof. Rakib Afandiyev, Head of the Mathematics Department at BEU, made presentations on "Spectral analysis of one-class non-self adjoint operators on graph with multi-cycles", and Professor Rashid Kamal Ansari, Head of the Mathematics Department of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, made presentations on "Some functions and their role in the classification of modules".

The seminar continued with discussions around the presentations.
