BEU and Chinese University Preparing a Joint Master’s Dual Degree Program

A dual degree program (DDP) at the master’s level is being developed between Baku Engineering University (BEU) and Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA) of the People’s Republic of China.

This work is being carried out within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation signed this summer between BUCEA (located in the capital Beijing and specializing in engineering and architecture) and BEU.

Discussions are currently underway regarding the academic content of the dual degree program, curriculum plans, and student exchange mechanisms. At the same time, relevant working groups from both universities are actively engaged in structuring the program, clarifying organizational issues, and planning subsequent stages.

The DDP, to be implemented in cooperation with BUCEA, a highly ranked university with global recognition, will enable students to gain international experience, acquire competitive knowledge and skills, and broaden their career prospects. Students who benefit from the academic resources and learning environments of both BEU and BUCEA will ultimately receive two diplomas.

Expanding the network of international partnerships, increasing global education programs, and supporting students’ integration into the global education space remain among BEU’s priority goals, and the DDP being jointly developed with BUCEA is another significant step in this direction.

It should be noted that several major projects are currently being implemented to expand BEU’s cooperation with Chinese universities. One of these is the dual degree program at the bachelor’s level currently being successfully carried out in three specialties between BEU and the Beijing University of Chemical Technology. The new master’s-level program planned with BUCEA will make an important contribution to further strengthening the partnership between BEU and Chinese universities.
