Renowned Malaysian Scientist Conducted Masterclass for Students at BEU

Professor Mohd Khairol Anuar bin Mohd Ariffin, a distinguished scholar from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), a world-class researcher in mechanical and manufacturing engineering, visited Baku Engineering University (BEU).

 

The Malaysian scientist has a Scopus H-index of 22, a Google Scholar H-index of 24, over 200 international scientific publications, and is a member of prestigious engineering organizations such as ASME, IEM, and MySET. His research areas include optimization of manufacturing systems, CNC machining, 3D printing technologies, and process modeling.

 

During the visit, the professor toured BEU's laboratories and highly praised the university's modern technological capabilities. He also conducted a masterclass for students at the Faculty of Engineering, sharing his research experience and innovative approaches in the field. The internationally renowned scientist presented his scientific findings on new solutions in modern manufacturing engineering, digitalization in industry, and productivity enhancement to the students.

 

The professor emphasized the high level of preparation of the students and expressed his views on further expanding cooperation in the future. The masterclass was received with great interest by the students.

 

During discussions with the UPM professor, it was emphasized that such collaborations make a significant contribution to the development of students' educational and research activities in accordance with international standards. Future academic cooperation and joint research matters were also addressed.

 

It should be noted that UPM holds a high position among world universities and is currently ranked 134th in the QS World University Rankings.
