Interactive Seminar for Students Held at BEU with Participation of AZAL Staff

An interactive seminar was held for engineering students at Baku Engineering University (BEU), with the participation of staff from Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), organized by the university's Industry Relations and Career Center and the Student Scientific Society.

Organized in line with UN Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education), 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), the main purpose of the seminar was to familiarize students with modern technological processes in the aviation sector, as well as to inform them about industrial internship and future employment opportunities at AZAL.

Speaking at the event, Asif Guliyev, Dean of BEU's Faculty of Engineering, emphasized the importance of complementing theoretical knowledge with practical experience in modern engineering education and of expanding cooperation between the university and industrial enterprises. It was noted that such events contribute to students' professional development, help them learn more closely about labor market requirements, and enable them to direct their future careers properly.

Azizbika Abdullayeva, Leading Specialist of AZAL's Human Resources Department; Jahangir Pashayev, Electromechanics Group Leader; and Mirkhanim Agalarova, "Power Plant" engineer, spoke at the seminar. The presentations provided information on ensuring aircraft flight safety, technical operation, life cycle, main systems, and the elimination of technical faults arising in aviation. The areas of activity of aviation engineers and the role of technical knowledge, precision, and professional responsibility in this field were also highlighted.

During the interactive seminar, students were informed about career opportunities at AZAL, industrial internship programs, the program selection process, and recruitment conditions. In particular, available vacancies for final-year students, as well as the requirements for working as a licensed engineer in the aviation field, were brought to attention. Students' questions were answered, and discussions were held on the issues of interest to them.

As part of the event, students were also informed about the Bootcamp program, the procedures for joining the program, and the opportunities designed for developing professional knowledge and skills.
