The objective of the "Survey on Awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals" is to systematically evaluate participants’ level of knowledge and awareness regarding the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations. The survey is designed to examine individuals’ comprehension of the SDGs, their familiarity with ongoing initiatives, and their general attitudes toward the principles of sustainable development.

Through the submission of two Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs) in 2017 and 2019, Azerbaijan distinguished itself as the first country within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) to present two VNRs by 2019.
