BEU Student Youth Organization

The Student Youth Organization (SYO) of Baku Engineering University (BEU) has been operating since February 2016. The organization was established as a joint project of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Education. As a student self-governance body, the main goals of the SYO are to protect students' rights, raise their awareness, and organize their leisure time effectively.

The organization is managed by a chairman and vice-chairmen. Their primary responsibilities are to define the overall strategy of the organization, oversee the work of the departments, and ensure the continuity of its activities.

Departments

The SYO's activities are carried out through the following specialized departments:

- Management Department: This department is responsible for organizing projects and managing events. Through this department, faculty and department student representatives speak on behalf of students at Academic Councils and ensure the flow of information between the SYO and the student body.

- Projects Department: It evaluates project proposals submitted by students. The department selects the best projects, improves them, and presents them to the leadership for implementation.

- Human Resources Department: This department handles matters related to SYO members, including recruitment, organizing participation in projects, and tracking member involvement. It is also responsible for awarding "Individual Activity" points to students.

- Media and Design Department: This department manages the SYO's social media accounts and prepares and disseminates announcements for projects. A dedicated design division within the department handles the visual branding of events.

- Azerbaijan Student Card (ASC) Department: This department manages the registration and distribution of student discount cards and finds new partner companies (sponsors) for the card program. The department serves students every day from 10:40 to 14:40.
