General Information and Areas of Activity

A Sports Club operates at Baku Engineering University (BEU) with the aim of focusing on the physical education of students. 

The main activities of the club include: 

Attracting student-athletes to join the club.

Organizing competitions in various sports for both students and faculty members.

Ensuring students' participation in national-level sports competitions.  

Internal University Competitions

Selection Trials: Every year in September-October, selection trials are held for first-year students across various sports. The purpose of these trials is to attract talented students to the university's sports teams.

Internal Tournament: An internal university tournament is organized for students every year in March-April, featuring popular sports such as football, volleyball, chess, table tennis, and basketball. The winning teams are awarded cups and medals.  

Achievements

BEU students successfully participate in various national-level competitions. A notable example is Məhəmmədəli Quliyev, a student from the Faculty of Engineering, who became the champion of Azerbaijan in freestyle wrestling and participated in the World Championship held in Moscow.
