Baku Engineering University's Valedictorian for 2026

Zarifa Alili, a graduate of the Computer Engineering program at Baku Engineering University (BEU), has become the university's valedictorian for 2026 with a score of 98.68 points.

She completed her education at the Marsan Village Secondary School named after Shahid Aziz Abdullayev in the Gakh district. In 2022, she scored 626 points in the State Examination Center (SEC) entrance examinations and was admitted to BEU's Computer Engineering program. Her choice of this field was driven by a particular reason. During her secondary school years, the limited access to computers during Informatics classes left her deeply frustrated at being unable to work on this essential technical device as much as she wished. Resolving that she would "choose a path in the future where the computer becomes a part of my life," she decided to specialize in Computer Engineering. Her determination brought her to the realization of that goal. Throughout her university life, Zarifa consistently distinguished herself through her dedication to studying, active engagement, and discipline, participating in various projects and winning awards. She was among the recipients of various scholarship programs offered by the Ministry of Science and Education as well as the Education Development Fund.

Zarifa Alili expresses her deep gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the broad opportunities created, and the attention and care shown, to ensure that young people receive a quality education in line with international standards. She also speaks of BEU as an environment conducive to the training of highly qualified personnel and the all-round development of students, noting that this environment and the dedication of her teachers have been invaluable to her achievements. They have generously shared their extensive knowledge and experience, contributing to her professional and personal development.

Zarifa's greatest gratitude, however, goes to her parents, who have always been by her side. From the very first day of her student life, they believed in her, were confident she would become the university's valedictorian, celebrated her every success, and stood by her through every difficulty.

Planning to pursue her master's degree at BEU as well, Zarifa Alili is confident that she will become a worthy citizen and a professional specialist. She will always take pride in Azerbaijan's Victory, its development, and its achievements, and will strive to contribute to the progress of our country through her knowledge and dedicated work.
