BEU Admitted to BRAUIC International Academic Consortium

Baku Engineering University (BEU) has taken an important step toward expanding international academic cooperation, developing research ties and promoting innovative engineering solutions by being admitted to the Belt and Road Architecture Universities International Consortium (BRAUIC).

On October 16-19, a letter of intent on BEU's membership in the consortium was signed within the framework of the 10th International Conference and Forum of BRAUIC, hosted by Shandong Jianzhu University in Jinan, China.

Membership in the consortium creates new opportunities for BEU in terms of implementing joint research projects, developing academic programs, expanding student and faculty exchange, and studying international experience in modern engineering, architecture and urban planning.

At the event, BEU Vice-Rector for International Relations Atraba Gul delivered a speech on the role of global partnerships, innovation and sustainable development in the future of architecture and civil engineering education. The speech focused on strengthening international academic partnerships, integrating innovation into higher engineering education, and cooperation opportunities serving sustainable development goals.

Established in 2017 on the initiative of Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA), BRAUIC serves the development of international cooperation in architecture, civil engineering and urban planning. Uniting 101 member institutions from 33 countries and regions, the consortium supports the development of joint research, technology transfer and innovative personnel training. The consortium's activities are aimed at the scientific resolution of rapid urbanization, climate change, environmental safety, energy efficiency and the sustainability of urban infrastructure, which are among the most pressing challenges of the modern world. The consortium's international forums bring together university leaders, scientists, researchers, architects and engineering specialists from various countries, creating a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience.

BEU's admission to BRAUIC is significant in terms of expanding the university's representation in international academic networks, strengthening its research potential and promoting Azerbaijan's higher education opportunities internationally.
