Senur Mammadli, a master's student of the dual degree program implemented between Baku Engineering University (BEU) and Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA), participated in the II China International Scientific Conference on Azerbaijan Studies, held in Beijing under the theme "Mutual Learning, Friendship, Mutual Benefit: A New Stage of the China-Azerbaijan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership."
More than 40 scholars from Azerbaijan and China attended the conference organized by Beijing Foreign Studies University.
Delivering a scientific report at the event dedicated to the development of China-Azerbaijan relations, mutual learning and scientific cooperation, Senur Mammadli characterized Azerbaijan studies as an interdisciplinary field of science that examines the country's historical and contemporary ties with other regions and civilizations, alongside the Azerbaijani language, history and culture. She also shared the results of her research on the application of artificial intelligence and computer vision technologies in the fields of art and cultural heritage. These research results are intended to be included in an international textbook titled "English Writing for Science and Technology."
At the conference, Dr. Zhu Shu, a lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages of BUCEA, also delivered a report dedicated to Azerbaijan's science and education. The report touched upon the research conducted within the dual degree program and drew attention to Senur Mammadli's research activities. At the same time, BEU's role in training highly qualified personnel was emphasized.
The presentation of the scientific results achieved within the BEU-BUCEA dual degree program at an international conference demonstrates the development of academic cooperation between the universities and the opportunities the program creates for scientific activity.
It should be noted that nearly 30 reports by scholars and students from both countries were heard at the conference. Views were exchanged on the development of Azerbaijan studies, the expansion of educational, cultural and historical ties between the two countries, as well as the Belt and Road Initiative, the Middle Corridor and prospects for regional cooperation.
