Work Plan of BEU Academic Council for the 2026–2027 Academic Year Approved

The next meeting of the Academic Council was held at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

Yaqub Piriyev, Chairman of the Academic Council and Rector, opened the meeting and brought the items on the agenda to the attention of the participants.

A report on the outcomes of students' industrial, pedagogical, research, and academic-pedagogical placements was then heard. During the discussions held around the report, opinions and proposals were put forward by members of the Council. At the conclusion of the discussions, the report was deemed satisfactory.

The work plan of BEU's Academic Council for the 2026–2027 academic year was also discussed and approved at the meeting.

The meeting continued with the discussion of current matters, during which a number of issues relating to the university's academic, scientific, and administrative activities were reviewed and relevant decisions were adopted.

Rector Yagub Piriyev issued relevant instructions regarding the effective organization of placements, the improvement of the educational process, and the further strengthening of research activities. It was noted that, in order to successfully implement the university's strategic development priorities, all structural units must continue to organize their activities on the basis of mutual coordination and effective cooperation, and must ensure the timely and high-quality execution of decisions adopted.

At the meeting, Yang Hyunjin, Head of the Program Management Unit of the dual degree program implemented between BEU and INHA University of the Republic of Korea, was also awarded an honorary certificate in recognition of the program's successful implementation and its effective contribution to the development of inter-university cooperation, and was wished success in future endeavors. At the same meeting, Rector Yagub Piriyev introduced the newly appointed Head of the Department, Han Sung Kang, to the university staff and wished him every success in his future endeavors.
