An academic article co-authored by Neman Eylasov, a staff member of the Scientific Research Center of Baku Engineering University (BEU), has been published in Research in International Business and Finance, a journal considered prestigious within the international scientific community, indexed in the Scopus database, and ranked in the Q1 category.
The study, titled "The Long-Run Dynamics of Shadow Banking and Traditional Banking: A Panel ARDL–Bayesian Model Averaging Approach," was published on the scientific platform of the Elsevier publishing house.
The article empirically analyzes the long-run interrelationships existing between traditional banking and shadow banking.
Within the framework of the research, data from 20 developed and developing countries covering the years 2003-2020 were used. The study employed various econometric methods, including Bayesian Model Averaging (BMA), Panel ARDL, FMOLS, CCR, and panel causality analyses.
Based on the results of the research, the authors emphasize the importance of implementing coordinated regulatory policies — covering both the banking and non-banking financial sectors and tailored to the institutional and economic characteristics of individual countries — in order to ensure financial stability and effectively manage systemic risks.
