Engineering Faculty
At the Faculty of Engineering, engineers are trained to work in various sectors of industry at all levels of education. Education is conducted in Azerbaijani and English. The faculty has more than 80 staff members, over 70 of whom belong to the teaching staff.
The faculty educates more than 1,700 students across 18 bachelor’s programs, 13 master’s programs, and 20 specializations, including international students.
The teaching staff of the faculty includes not only experienced and well-known instructors in their fields within the country, but also young, dynamic professionals who have studied at various levels in Azerbaijan and abroad and have gained international experience.
Some faculty members participate in national and international educational and research projects, as well as in various exchange programs. Work in this area continues to grow dynamically.
The Faculty of Engineering has extensive material and technical resources, as well as modern research and teaching laboratories. With highly qualified and professional staff, skilled engineering training is carried out using these resources. Most students acquire skills in modern computer software, programming methods, information technologies, and foreign languages. Therefore, graduates of the faculty do not face problems in finding employment. In the final years, some of our students already receive offers to continue their education at prestigious universities worldwide, while others receive offers to work in various industrial sectors within the country.
The departments of the faculty are equipped with classrooms and laboratories containing modern equipment, devices, and technologies. Notable laboratories include New Generation Networks, Electronics and Microprocessors, Automatic Control, Mechanisms and Machine Dynamics, Internal Combustion Engines and Automotive, Mechanical Vibration and Noise Control, Non-Destructive Testing Methods, Design and Adequate Modeling, Processing Methods, Materials and Metallography, Strength of Materials, Aerodynamics and Fluid Mechanics, Thermal Sciences and Heat Transfer, Renewable Energies, and others.
The material and technical base of the departments is expanding year by year. Within an international project, in 2021 a new specialized laboratory was established in the Department of Logistics and Transport Technologies Engineering.
Modern computer labs are available for students. Most classrooms are equipped with electronic boards and projectors. Therefore, lessons in all subjects are conducted interactively using modern information technologies.
Part-time education is offered for Transport Services (Automotive Transport) and Winemaking programs. For the Electrical and Electronics program, training is conducted within a dual-degree program implemented between INHA University of the Republic of South Korea and BEU.
