Meeting Held with Doctoral Candidates at BEU

A session of the doctoral admission committee for the Doctor of Philosophy program has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

Addressing the session, BEU Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Affairs Aghasi Malikov spoke about the role of higher education institutions in developing highly qualified scientific personnel, expanding research activities, and fostering young people's interest in science.

The Vice-Rector emphasized the particular importance of ensuring that decisions are made on the basis of transparency and fairness when evaluating the professional suitability of candidates who have applied for doctoral admission, and wished the applicants success.

Shikar Gasimov, Head of BEU's Master's and Doctoral Studies Department and professor, provided information on admission rules and requirements.

The candidates seeking admission to the doctoral program then answered questions from commission members in their respective specializations.

At the conclusion of the session, a decision was made - based on the opinions of commission members, discussions held with academic supervisors, and assessments of professional suitability — to advance all 54 individuals who had submitted documents for BEU's Doctor of Philosophy doctoral program in 2026 to the next stage: the entrance examinations.
