Legal Awareness Event at BEU

A legal awareness seminar titled "Know Your Rights: Rights of Individuals in Various Fields, Comparative Analysis of Domestic and International Legislation" was held at Baku Engineering University (BEU). The event was attended by the university's faculty members, students, and legal experts.

At the opening of the seminar, Vurgun Gahramanov, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at BEU, and Ali Gojayev, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Logistics and Transportation, addressed the audience, emphasizing the critical role of legal knowledge, particularly in the fields of logistics, transportation, and management. It was noted that the significance of such awareness seminars is underscored by the fact that students will frequently encounter contracts, transportation regulations, labor relations, and other legal matters in their future professional activities.

Niyameddin Afandiyev, Training and Education Coordinator at Ekol Academy, highlighted that seminars on legal awareness among young people play a vital role in shaping legal thinking and developing practical legal knowledge. He stressed the importance of students acquiring not only theoretical knowledge but also practical legal approaches.

The keynote speaker of the seminar, Roya Mirtalibova, Lead Legal Counsel at the Baku Regional Office of the Public Legal Entity "State Cadastre and Registry of Immovable Property," provided detailed information on individual rights across various legal fields, personal inviolability, consumer rights, and legal protection mechanisms. The presentation featured a comparative analysis of domestic and international legislation, with differences between the legal approaches of various countries brought to the participants' attention.

Within the framework of the seminar, case studies drawn from domestic and international judicial practice were presented, and the practical aspects of legal situations were explained.

The event continued with interactive discussions and a Q&A session, during which an extensive exchange of views took place on legal issues of interest to the participants.

At a quiz held at the conclusion of the event, standout students were presented with various prizes.
