Meeting and Seminar Held at BEU with Algerian Scientists

A meeting was held at Baku Engineering University (BEU) with representatives of the University of Science and Technology of Oran Mohamed Boudiaf (USTO-MB) of Algeria - Mohamed Della Krachai, lecturer at the Department of Automation and Doctor of Philosophy in Electronics, and Kheira Melouk, Associate Professor of the same department.

At the meeting, BEU Vice-Rector for International Relations Atraba Gul provided detailed information about the university, outlining its internationalization strategy, ongoing projects, and efforts in the area of cooperation with foreign universities. She emphasized that expanding partnerships with prestigious higher education institutions across various countries is one of BEU's key priorities. She also noted that cooperation with USTO-MB would be mutually beneficial for both universities, drawing attention to the importance of conducting joint scientific research projects, organizing faculty and student exchange programs, as well as sharing experience in the fields of innovation and technology.

During the meeting, the guests provided information about the activities, research directions, and international cooperation experience of their university. It was noted that USTO-MB was established in 1975 and is considered one of Algeria's leading public universities of technology. With approximately 20,000 students enrolled, the university is one of the most important regional centers of science and education in the country in the fields of engineering and technology. It ranks among the region's most prominent universities owing to its projects in science, innovation, and technology, as well as its international collaborative ties.

The meeting featured discussions on prospects for conducting joint research in the fields of automation, artificial intelligence, IoT, robotics, and renewable energy, as well as organizing academic mobility programs and holding joint seminars and conferences.

A scientific seminar was also organized as part of the visit. At the event, it was noted that Mohamed Della Krachai has more than 20 years of experience in electronics and automation, and conducts research in embedded systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), deep learning applications, and renewable energy sources. He is also a Senior Member of IEEE and Chairman of the IEEE-AESS Algeria Section. Kheira Melouk, in turn, is engaged in research on the optimal and intelligent control of solar energy systems, fuzzy logic-based management of smart agricultural greenhouses, and the development of IoT solutions for urban infrastructure.

During the event, the Algerian scientists delivered presentations on the topics of "Artificial Intelligence in MPPT Techniques" and "Rapid IoT Prototyping." The presentations were met with great interest, generating extensive discussions and a question-and-answer session.
