Cyber Security Laboratory
Computer and IT

The Cybersecurity Laboratory operating at Baku Engineering University is one of the most unique facilities in the country in terms of its purpose and modern program-technical capabilities. Equipped with state-of-the-art devices and technologies, the laboratory was established with the financial support of BP and aims to provide students with practical skills in areas such as network setup in real-world environments, cybersecurity, digital forensics, incident response, and more. The laboratory’s technical infrastructure includes FortiGate Firewall, Check Point wireless network devices, server infrastructure, IP phone devices, and various other network security equipment.
The laboratory is designed not only for students majoring in Information Security and Cybersecurity but also for those studying Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Information Technology. In this lab, students participate in practical training in both offensive (Red Team) and defensive (Blue Team) cybersecurity disciplines, including secure network design, Wi-Fi security, virtual systems, SIEM analytics, and incident response. As a result, they gain hands-on experience in areas such as real attack simulations, vulnerability detection, log analysis, firewall management, forensics, and network monitoring.
